3. Snake Island, Brazil

Snake Island, known as Ilha da Queimada Grande, is off the coast of Brazil and packed with snakes. This island is so full of golden lancehead pit vipers that it’s considered one of the most dangerous places on Earth.
What makes it thrilling is that people are not allowed to visit. The Brazilian government keeps the public away to protect both the snakes and humans. Only a few scientists get special permission to go.
With thousands of snakes in a small area, Snake Island has become famous for its risk. The golden lancehead’s venom is powerful. Even though it’s scary, there is no record of confirmed deaths on the island itself, likely because hardly anyone sets foot there.
