North Sentinel Island is one of the most forbidden islands in the world. It is found in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, a group of islands in the Indian Ocean. The island is home to the Sentinelese, who are among the last uncontacted tribes left on Earth.
The Indian government has made it illegal for anyone to go near North Sentinel Island. Approaching it, even by boat or plane, is strictly banned to protect both outsiders and the tribe. This is outlined in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands Protection Regulation.
The Sentinelese fiercely reject outside contact and have lived in isolation for thousands of years. The mystery of their way of life attracts people’s curiosity, but no one is allowed to visit.
