3. Spain – Portugal
One of the oldest borders in Europe, dating back to the 13th century, the Spain–Portugal line includes the unique zipline between Sanlúcar de Guadiana (Spain) and Alcoutim (Portugal)—the only cross-border zipline in the world.
The river Guadiana acts as a natural separator, but shared Iberian culture makes it feel like one extended region with two national flags.
