8. Saint Barthelemy Airport — Saint-Barthelemy
This Caribbean airport features a steep hill at one end of the runway and a beach at the other. Planes must descend sharply over the hilltop and touch down almost immediately on the short strip. Pilots have to avoid both terrain and beachgoers. It’s a tight squeeze, and only smaller aircraft are allowed to use the airport due to the limited space and complex approach.
