6. Myanmar (Burma)
Myanmar is prone to tropical cyclones, flooding, and earthquakes. The country’s low-lying coastal areas are particularly exposed to storm surges and flooding during cyclone seasons. Cyclone Nargis in 2008 caused catastrophic damage and highlighted the country’s limited disaster preparedness and response capacity at that time.
Myanmar also sits near tectonic fault lines, making it susceptible to significant seismic events.
