6. Lake Chelan – Washington

Lake Chelan is a long, narrow lake stretching over 50 miles through north-central Washington. It’s bordered by vineyards, orchards, and steep mountains, creating a unique mix of natural beauty and local culture.
The lake’s water is exceptionally clear, thanks to mountain runoff, and the nearby town of Chelan offers relaxing stays, outdoor dining, and access to boat tours. You can also take a ferry to the remote village of Stehekin, which can’t be reached by road.
