3. The Drina River House, Serbia

Settled like a fairytale secret on a lonely rock in Serbia’s Drina River, this tiny wooden house was built by teenage swimmers in 1968; using driftwood from the river itself. It’s been swept away by floods seven times, but each time, locals lovingly rebuild it.
Hovering just above the water and whispered about in legends, it’s now a surreal symbol of flexibility and wild summer dreams.
