Kelley Wolf Locked Out on Instagram Live After Scott Drops Restraining Order

Post categories:

Kelley Wolf, author and public speaker, shared a dramatic encounter on Instagram Live as she tried to enter her family home in Park City, Utah, nearly two weeks after her estranged husband, actor Scott Wolf, dropped a restraining order against her.

In a video broadcast on July 29, Kelley, 48, documented her attempts to retrieve personal items from the residence. Accompanied by Summit County sheriff deputies, she expressed frustration and emotional exhaustion, stating, “I have just had enough… I’m sick of being treated like I’m crazy.”

Kelley claimed she was under the impression that all necessary legal and procedural steps had been taken to allow her to collect belongings — particularly cash she had saved. “My dad taught me to keep cash,” she said, referencing financial difficulties and debts owed. “I’ve never asked for $1 in my life.”

While being escorted by police, Kelley repeatedly attempted to enter the home via the front door and garage, but was unsuccessful. “It appeared that the locks had been changed,” a Summit County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson later confirmed. Officers noted she made phone calls and tried windows but was ultimately forced to leave without retrieving any items.

Throughout the video, Kelley voiced her anger over how the public perceives her. “I have a sassy attitude, my God,” she said. “But being called things like grandiose, bipolar, schizophrenic, crazy — it’s just rude.”

The emotional footage also revealed her struggle with legal and social consequences, including two prior involuntary psychiatric holds and being subject to intense public scrutiny. “We’re both famous,” she said, “That’s the part that sucks. It’s embarrassing.”

The incident comes shortly after a temporary stipulated court agreement was reached in the couple’s divorce case.

Filed on July 15 and made public following the dismissal of Scott’s restraining order on July 19, the agreement grants Scott Wolf temporary sole physical custody of their three children — Jackson, 16, Miller, 12, and Lucy, 11.

Kelley was granted “liberal” supervised visitation and allowed three supervised calls per week. Additional contact is permitted if initiated by the children, but any concerns from the court-appointed guardian would trigger a reassessment of her access.

Additionally, both parties are bound by a social media gag order — neither may post about each other, their children, or the divorce proceedings. Despite this, Kelley’s Instagram Live video and her son Jackson’s comment, “This is insane mom what are you doing,” have attracted public attention.

The sheriff’s department confirmed that there were no active court orders preventing Kelley from being at the home. “The deputy did search for any types of orders… and they were unable to locate any existing orders,” the spokesperson stated. “We never made contact with anyone inside the house. We have no reason to believe anyone was there.”

As the Wolf family continues navigating their public and painful separation, questions remain about the next phase of legal proceedings — and whether Kelley will regain unsupervised parenting time in the future, as the agreement suggests is the long-term goal.

For now, Kelley’s video — filled with emotional rawness, legal confusion, and personal reflection — offers a deeply human look into what happens when private pain becomes public spectacle.
