A drive-by shooting outside Bugs Bar Nightclub in southeast Houston on the night of July 13, 2025, has left two people dead and several others injured. The tragic incident has prompted an investigation by the Houston Police Department (HPD), which is urging anyone with information to come forward.
What Happened at Bugs Bar Nightclub?

Around 11:47 PM, HPD officers responded to reports of gunfire near the nightclub. Upon arrival, they found one person dead at the scene, while another victim died later in the hospital. Seven others sustained injuries, some of whom sought medical help independently, while others were treated on-site.
Assistant Chief Adrian Rodriguez confirmed the death toll, stating, “Two people died, and seven others were injured.” Authorities are continuing their investigation into what led to this senseless act of violence.

Witnesses described a gray or silver four-door sedan speeding through the area just before the gunshots rang out. However, police have not yet identified the shooter or the vehicle involved.
