The ongoing legal feud between former Hollywood couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie has flared up again.
This time, Pitt is demanding access to private communications tied to Jolie’s 2021 sale of her shares in Château Miraval, the French vineyard the two once co-owned. Pitt claims that Jolie sold her stake to the Stoli Group without his consent, violating a prior agreement, and is now seeking documents and testimony that may support his case.
Direct Demand for Private Communications

In a court filing dated June 30, Pitt claimed that Alexey Oliynik, a Stoli Group executive, has refused to provide key documents or appear for a deposition. Oliynik, who resides in Switzerland, argues that he cannot be compelled by the California court.
Pitt’s legal team emphasized the importance of these documents, writing:
“These requests go directly to key allegations about Pitt’s objections to the sale and easily meet the standard for discoverability, given Pitt’s allegations that Jolie acted with malice in selling to Stoli, a counterparty she knew Pitt opposed.”
Pitt maintains that Oliynik holds firsthand knowledge of the sale and that his cooperation is critical to understanding how the deal was made without Pitt’s involvement or approval.
NDAs, Past Accusations, and Ongoing Tensions

This case isn’t just about business. In her 2022 countersuit, Angelina Jolie alleged that Pitt refused to buy her out unless she signed a nondisclosure agreement. According to her legal team:
“Pitt refused to purchase Jolie’s stake unless she agreed to an NDA designed to force her silence about his abuse and cover-up.”
This references an alleged incident on a 2016 private jet flight, during which Jolie claims Pitt was verbally and physically abusive toward her and their children. Pitt was never formally charged, and Jolie did not press charges at the time.
In May 2024, a judge ordered Jolie to produce eight years’ worth of her nondisclosure agreements, aiming to determine whether she has used similar agreements herself, a move that could impact her claims.
