“I Honestly Hoped They’d End Up Together — At Least It Would Make It Worth It For Me”
After months of silence, Gigi Paris is finally speaking out about her breakup with Glen Powell — and the rumored chemistry between him and his Anyone But You co-star, Sydney Sweeney.
The model and actress opened up on the Too Much podcast, shedding light on how their three-year relationship unraveled amid a swirl of PR buzz and public speculation.
A Relationship Unravels in the Spotlight

Gigi and Glen began dating in 2020, before Powell’s Hollywood career hit a new peak. But as he began filming Anyone But You with Sweeney and promotional interviews ramped up, their private relationship suddenly became the backdrop for public rumors.
According to Gigi, the cracks began to show when she was tagged in posts questioning her boyfriend’s captions about his co-star.
I told him, ‘Hey, the whole world is watching what you’re saying — please just proceed with caution.’
she recalled:
And that wasn’t received well. From there, there was a steady decline.
Love, or Just Good PR?

As the Sydney-Glen affair rumors escalated — fueled by their flirty red carpet appearances — Gigi says she felt sidelined. What might have been dismissed as gossip began to chip away at her trust.
It was just, ‘This is what I have to do for my job.’
she said:
I had two options: either pretend like I was OK with everything, or stand up for myself and walk away. So that’s what I decided to do. I was shattered.
Despite Powell and Sweeney later claiming the on-screen chemistry was played up intentionally to promote the film, Gigi said she felt exposed — and abandoned.
“They Said I Shouldn’t Come to Set”

One of the turning points came when Gigi, after resolving visa issues, was preparing to travel to Australia to visit Glen on set. But instead of a welcome, she received a phone call that changed everything.
He called and said, ‘The producers and I think it’s best if you don’t come visit.’
She revealed:
That’s when I hung up and thought, ‘This motherfucker is done to me.’
She flew to Australia anyway, determined to end things face-to-face. Once there, she says, she wasn’t allowed near the set or production. She added:
It was very bizarre.
Silence That Hurt More Than the Rumors

Throughout the public speculation, Gigi said what hurt the most was the lack of support — or even denial — from Powell.
The bare minimum in a relationship is having your partner’s back.
She continued:
All he needed to say was, ‘No, I would never cheat on my girlfriend.’ That was never said — not once.
Even though she never confirmed an affair happened, Gigi said the PR stunt alone was damaging enough. she said:
Later, they came out and said it was all a PR scheme at the expense of our relationship. I honestly hoped that they’d end up together. At least it would make it worth it for me.
