Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are doubling down on their creative vision with Netflix, announcing a surprise contract extension packed with new projects, seasonal specials, and global brand expansion.
On August 11, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex confirmed they had renewed their multi-year creative partnership through Archewell Productions. The new deal includes a first-look agreement for film and television, ensuring Netflix will get priority access to their upcoming content.
The Big Announcement & Meghan’s Holiday Special

In her statement, Meghan, 44, emphasized the couple’s enthusiasm for continuing the partnership:
“We’re proud to extend our partnership with Netflix and expand our work together to include the As ever brand. My husband and I feel inspired by our partners who work closely with us and our Archewell Productions team to create thoughtful content across genres that resonates globally, and celebrates our shared vision.”
One major highlight is the return of her lifestyle series With Love, Meghan, which premiered earlier this year to strong fan engagement. The second season will debut later this month, followed by a festive spin-off — With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration — in December.
Set in the couple’s Montecito home, the special promises a warm, personal look at Meghan’s favorite traditions:
- Decorating the house alongside friends and family
- Preparing holiday feasts
- Crafting DIY gifts viewers can replicate at home
Netflix describes it as “a holiday wonder filled with warmth, tradition, and a generous dose of joy.”
More Projects in the Pipeline — Including Masaka Kids & Meet Me at the Lake

The couple also announced Masaka Kids: A Rhythm Within, a moving documentary filmed in Uganda’s Masaka region, where a small orphanage brings hope to children impacted by the HIV/AIDS crisis. The project promises to show how music and dance transform grief into resilience.
Despite earlier speculation, their much-anticipated adaptation of Carley Fortune’s bestselling novel Meet Me at the Lake remains in active development. The romantic drama will follow a decade-spanning love story shaped by a chance encounter and a broken promise.
Other projects in the works are said to span multiple genres, reflecting Harry and Meghan’s growing influence as content creators.
Netflix & Archewell: A Profitable Partnership

Bela Bajaria, Netflix’s Chief Content Officer, praised the couple’s impact:
“Harry and Meghan are influential voices whose stories resonate with audiences everywhere. Harry & Meghan quickly became one of our most-watched documentaries, and With Love, Meghan inspired audiences while selling out As ever products in record time. We’re thrilled to continue working with them.”
The Sussexes’ track record with Netflix includes:
- Harry & Meghan (2022) — Netflix’s most-watched documentary debut
- Live to Lead (2022)
- Heart of Invictus (2023)
- Polo (2024)
Their latest extension comes despite reports in July suggesting the original $100 million deal wouldn’t be renewed — part of a broader Netflix shift away from all-encompassing contracts toward first-look arrangements, similar to the streamer’s deal with the Obamas’ Higher Ground.
The Meghan Effect
Meghan’s solo hosting debut in With Love, Meghan featured celebrity guests like Mindy Kaling and showcased her expertise in entertaining, cooking, and home design. Season 2 promises even more high-profile appearances, including Chrissy Teigen and chef-humanitarian José Andrés.
Speaking at the TIME100 Summit earlier this year, Meghan hinted at the personal touch behind her guest list:
“I’ve been fortunate to have the people I want on the show… We have a great, great lineup.”
Between expanding her As ever lifestyle brand, creating heartwarming holiday specials, and producing socially impactful documentaries, Meghan and Harry’s renewed deal signals that their Netflix chapter is far from over.
