2. Lake Natron
Lake Natron in Tanzania looks beautiful, but it is very dangerous. Its water has an alkalinity of up to 12 pH—almost like bleach—and can burn your skin and eyes. The lake gets very hot, over 100°F, making it hard for most living things to survive. Only flamingos and a few other creatures can live here.
