5. Saw-Scaled Viper
Though small in size, the Saw-Scaled Viper is extremely dangerous and responsible for more human deaths annually than any other snake. Found in parts of the Middle East, Central Asia, and India, its venom causes painful swelling, bleeding, and tissue damage. Its signature “sizzling” warning sound comes from rubbing its scales together before it strikes.
