Ixtapa may look like a paradise on the surface, but a hidden sewage problem is polluting its coastline. A nearby stream, used as a waste channel from hillside homes, leaks human waste into the ocean, spreading dangerous E. coli. Many visitors remain unaware; until sickness strikes.
