North Wales Hospital in Wales was built in the 1800s. It cared for Welsh-speaking patients with mental illness. The hospital could hold over 1,500 people. It is known for its old Victorian asylum-style buildings. The hospital closed in 1987 when new treatments began. Since then, the buildings have fallen apart.
