3. Permissive Parenting
Permissive parents are overly lenient and rarely enforce rules or consequences. Although often loving, they fail to provide structure, which can result in children struggling with self-control, entitlement, and poor decision-making. These kids may also have difficulty respecting authority.
A better approach is to set clear expectations, follow through with consequences, and model responsible behavior without compromising warmth and support.
