5. Taklamakan Desert
The Taklamakan Desert in China covers over 123,000 square miles and experiences extreme heat up to 152°F. Its dry, barren terrain has almost no water, making it very hard to survive. Dangerous animals like wolves, venomous snakes, and boars roam this harsh environment.
