4. Mojave Desert
The Mojave Desert may be smaller, but its temperatures can soar up to 134°F in Death Valley. Along with the extreme heat, it’s home to dangerous animals like mountain lions, tarantula hawks, and the venomous Gila monster. With little water and harsh conditions, surviving here is a serious challenge.
