Although the exterior of the Palace of Versailles is a prime photography spot, interior photography is limited. Many rooms inside the palace, especially those with priceless works of art or delicate tapestries, have strict no-photography rules.

Flash photography is not allowed in many parts of the museum, and in some rooms, photography is entirely prohibited to ensure the preservation of cultural heritage.
