5. Museum of the Forbidden City, China
Photography is prohibited in several areas of the Forbidden City, one of China’s most iconic historical sites. This ban is mostly enforced in areas with ancient artifacts and relics, as flash photography can damage delicate, centuries-old pieces. While some areas do allow non-flash photography, visitors are encouraged to be mindful of the cultural heritage they’re observing.
