6. Wolf Spider
Wolf spiders are fast hunters that chase their prey instead of using webs. The largest has a body about 2.5 cm (1 inch) long and legs about the same length. They carry their eggs and young on their backs. Though they usually avoid people, they may bite if they feel threatened.
