9. MOAB (Mother of All Bombs)
The GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast (MOAB), nicknamed the “Mother of All Bombs,” is the most powerful non-nuclear bomb in the U.S. arsenal. Designed to obliterate surface targets and tunnels, its explosive yield is equivalent to 11 tons of TNT. MOAB was first used in combat in Afghanistan in 2017 with devastating effect.
