Summit, built by IBM and located in Tennessee, was once the fastest supercomputer in the world. It can perform up to 200 quadrillion calculations per second using thousands of CPUs and GPUs. Summit has supported research in climate, earthquakes, and health. It also helped speed up COVID-19 drug studies.
