5. Guennol Lioness
The Guennol Lioness is a 5,000-year-old limestone statue showing a strong lioness-woman. Found near Baghdad, it is one of the rare ancient sculptures still in private hands. In 2007, it sold for $57.2 million, the highest price for any ancient sculpture. This piece connects us to the early days of human art.
