6. Water Serpents II
Water Serpents II was painted in 1907 and shows the female form. During World War II, the Nazis took it from a Jewish collector. It appeared again at a Sotheby’s auction in 2015. In 2017, it sold for $170 million. Today, it is shown at the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam.
