8. Anxiety Disorders

Anxiety disorders, such as panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and social anxiety disorder, can significantly impair an individual’s ability to function in daily life. Individuals with severe anxiety often experience constant worry, fear, and a sense of impending doom.
Panic attacks, which involve sudden and intense bouts of fear, can be particularly paralyzing. While not always as physically dangerous as other disorders, untreated anxiety can lead to debilitating avoidance behaviors, social isolation, and diminished quality of life.
