3. Oxygen Production
Breathing on Mars might sound like science fiction, but MOXIE is making it real. This suitcase-sized device aboard NASA’s Perseverance rover has already turned Mars’ carbon dioxide-rich air into breathable oxygen. By proving we can make air; and possibly rocket fuel, right on the Red Planet, MOXIE is giving future astronauts a real shot at surviving and returning home.
