Old Havana, a UNESCO World Heritage site, was once a thriving colonial port city that boasted stunning Spanish colonial architecture. However, after the Cuban Revolution, many of its historic buildings were neglected and demolished for the sake of modern housing projects.
The city’s vibrant history, once preserved in its architecture, gradually eroded as urban development projects aimed at revitalizing the capital moved forward.
