10. Warsaw, Poland

Warsaw, the capital of Poland, was almost destroyed during World War II. The city suffered immense damage from bombings, with its historic buildings and landmarks reduced to rubble. After the war, the Polish government made a bold decision to rebuild Warsaw’s historic Old Town, meticulously restoring many of its ancient buildings.
However, much of the pre-war Warsaw was lost, replaced by modern developments that reshaped the city into its current form.
