9. Wild Mushrooms

Foraging mushrooms can be exciting, but it’s also one of the most dangerous food pursuits. Many wild mushrooms look similar to edible varieties yet contain deadly toxins like amatoxins, which can cause liver failure and death. Cooking, freezing, or drying does not destroy these poisons. The only safe way to enjoy mushrooms is to buy them from trusted sellers.
How to enjoy without risk: Never eat wild mushrooms unless confirmed safe by an expert mycologist.
