Operation Ichi-Go was a massive battle where Japan sent half a million soldiers into China to destroy American air bases and weaken Chinese forces. The battle lasted eight months and caused heavy losses for both sides. Despite Japan’s victory, their leader resigned, and the U.S. military remained strong.
