10. The Brusilov Offensive (AKA the June Advance)
The Brusilov Offensive was a huge World War I battle where 1.7 million Russian soldiers fought hard for three months. It surprised the German and Austro-Hungarian armies and caused heavy losses. This battle weakened the enemy and shifted the fight on the Eastern Front.
