6. North Cascades National Park – Washington

This rugged, mountainous park is known for its steep terrain and remote wilderness. It’s among the least-visited national parks, which also means help is often hours—or days—away. With a death rate of 1 per 18,000 visitors, North Cascades is deceptively dangerous.
Disappearances often occur during climbing attempts or off-trail hiking in areas where GPS signals fade and weather changes quickly.
