4. Denali National Park – Alaska

Denali’s massive peaks and untouched backcountry attract experienced climbers and trekkers, but it’s also home to extreme cold, avalanche-prone zones, and unpredictable wildlife encounters. From 2007 to 2023, at least 65 deaths were recorded.
Many disappearances occur deep within the wilderness, where helicopters can’t reach and satellite signals fail. Even experienced adventurers can be caught off guard here.
