8. Indonesia
Indonesia has very strict laws that control behavior and speech. Sex outside marriage and living together are illegal for citizens and foreigners. It is also illegal to insult the president or share “false” news. These rules, starting in 2026, could affect women, LGBTQ+ people, and unregistered couples.
