2. Orthlieb Pool – Casablanca, Morocco

This colossal Olympic pool, known locally as the Centre Balnéaire Georges Orthlieb, was once the largest in the world. Built in the 1930s, it spans a whopping 8.9 acres and holds nearly 4 million gallons of water.
Though it may lack the flash of luxury resorts, its legacy and size make it one of Africa’s most iconic public swimming spaces—a favorite for sports training and national competitions.
