4. African Elephant
Despite its calm appearance, the African elephant is responsible for hundreds of human deaths each year. When provoked, it charges with immense force and speed. One strike from its trunk or tusks can be instantly fatal. Its massive weight and strength leave little chance for escape during a full-blown charge.
